Greetings and Welcome!
Thank you for taking an interest in our annual VBS summer camp program here at Saints Peter and Paul, Mount Carmel and Assumption BVM, Centralia. This summer will mark the fourth year for our program and we are very excited! This year’s camp will be held this August 7th through the 11th, 2017 from 10am until 3pm at Assumption BVM in Centralia.
This year’s program is “Maker Fun Factory: Created by God – Built for a Purpose.” Children will be broken up into small groups called Crews. Crews are an important part of Maker Fun Factory! Here’s why: Kids develop new friendships, older kids shine, younger kids are cared for, and Bible lessons are more memorable. Each day, Crews will travel through field-tested rotations that reinforce relevant Bible points and immerse kids in new adventures. At Maker Fun Factory, one memorable Bible Point is reinforced throughout each station, each day—making it easy to apply long after VBS is over.
Day 1: God made you.
Day 2: God is for you.
Day 3: God is always with you.
Day 4: God will always love you.
Day 5: God made you for a reason.
Since Maker Fun Factory doesn’t rely on more traditional teaching methods (like fill-in-the-blank puzzles or word searches), kids experience Bible stories in powerful, life-changing ways. And that’s something kids of all ages will enjoy and remember. Crew Leaders will gather with kids for small-group discussions including questions that apply to every child but may touch each child at a different level.

The men of our Holy Name Society sponsor this event as well as a handstamp for all children. There will be additional information regarding this event on the first day of camp. Each year we also purchase shirts for the children that we encourage them to wear to our Knoebel’s night. We have had so many fun and meaningful days during our last three summer camps. We hope you will allow your child to join us this year to make it even better than the last, and to help them grow in faith, fun and friendship.
If you need any additional information, or have any questions please feel free to contact the Camp Director, Gene Lapointe at (570)205-7726, or the church office at (570)339-0650.
